Summers are always a slower season in my business.
Maybe yours too.
This summer, I had one client pause to focus on travel and another complete a second round of deep work together.
Five years ago, this would have sent me into a spiral.
🌀 I would’ve felt anxious about the “lost” income.
🌀 I would’ve made it mean that I was failing as a business owner.
🌀 I would’ve thrown myself into over-working, over-giving, and over-proving in order to fill the gap.
This would’ve looked like packing my calendar with networking events, giving away a ton of free coaching sessions, and throwing together a random offer I thought people needed.
Behind the scenes, I would’ve felt utterly exhausted and emotionally depleted.
Thank goodness this is not my reality anymore.
And it’s not because I finally hit consistent $20K months or built a never-ending waitlist of dream clients.
It’s because I did the inner work.
Here’s the deal:
You can have $40K years or $400K years and still be stuck in the same pattern of pushing, forcing, and struggling to feel safe.
More money doesn’t solve scarcity.
More clients don’t soothe uncertainty.
I know plenty of business owners who make good money and still can’t rest. They operate from survival because they fear that if they slow down, everything they’ve built will fall apart.
What’s missing isn’t more money—it’s leading from inner steadiness.
